While working as a Drilling Engineer on the Gulf Coast Wells Team, Mr. Romo assisted in the planning and execution of several high-rate gas wells and was accountable for fit-for-purpose technology implementation which resulted in the first successful on-shore rotary steerable application within BP. Implemented a cuttings re-injection program which resulted in a cuttings disposal cost savings of 70%. Implemented a down hole vibration mitigation program, redesigned the conventional casing program and attained corporate approval to drill the 18,000-psi reservoir with 10K BOP stacks.
