Larry A. Cress, President of New Tech Engineering, is a graduate of Texas A&M ('76) and a Registered Professional Engineer. Mr. Cress formed New Tech Engineering in March 1998.
- Extensive Gulf Coast geo-pressured experience.
- Supervised the drilling, completion, and facility construction of wells on land, inland waters, and offshore.
- Composed and designed drilling and completion programs in 23 states and 7 countries.
- Recognized as an industry leader in horizontal and underbalanced drilling techniques.
- Conducted numerous schools for students from several countries, including China and Russia.
- As Vice-President of Drilling and Production for Clayton Williams Energy, Mr. Cress drilled more than 300 horizontal and underbalanced wells.

Regan D. Wood, P.E. Senior Vice President |

Regan D. Wood is a graduate of The University of Texas ('81) and a Registered Professional Engineer. He joined New Tech Engineering in April of 1998 with 19 years of oilfield experience.
- Served as an Operations Engineer, Operations Manager and Vice-President of Operations for several companies with active programs in North and South Louisiana, Louisiana inland waters, and throughout Texas.
- Extensive experience in geo-pressured environments in the design of drilling, completion and production operations and facilities.
- As Vice-President of Kelley Oil Corporation, Mr. Wood was instrumental in solving tough regulatory problems regarding drilling, completion and production programs.

Jeffrey R. Cummins Vice President |

Jeffrey R. Cummins joined New Tech Engineering in August of 1998, bringing 27 years of field and managerial experience to the company.
- Began his career as a roughneck on inland barges and offshore rigs working his way up through the ranks to Toolpusher.
- Gained valuable knowledge in directional drilling techniques at Servco/Smith International.
- As Drilling Superintendent at Clayton Williams Energy, was instrumental in developing and implementing the first horizontal drilling program (1987), which grew into a 10 rig drilling program. This project established numerous world records and was the catalyst behind new horizontal technology such as the rotating blowout preventer, retrievable whipstock, extended power section PDM, PDM bit advancements, mudcap drilling techniques and multilateral well designs.

James R. (Dick) Polk Vice President |

Dick Polk, Vice President of New Tech Engineering, joined the company in May, 2000, with more than 23 years of managerial experience. He is a partner with the principal responsibility of overseeing the business development and the consulting side of the company.
- Began his oilfield career in 1980 working in completion services in offshore operations with Otis Engineering.
- Promoted into sales for Otis Engineering and, shortly thereafter, into sales management. He continued in sales management with various other tool companies.
- As a consultant, was responsible for taking a company into the international arena with a focus on the former Soviet Union.
- Created a highly successful consulting division for Boots and Coots International Well Control.
- Member of the American Petroleum Institute, Society of Petroleum Engineers and American Association of Drilling Engineers. Serves on the Board of Directors of the Houston Chapter of the International Association of Drilling Contractors.

Daniel R. Lockwood Vice President |

Daniel R. Lockwood is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines ('79) with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. Mr. Lockwood joined New Tech Engineering in September, 2000, with more than 21 years of engineering and management experience.
- Wellsite Supervisor, Operations Engineer, Drilling Superintendent and Drilling Manager for Champlin Petroleum Company and Union Pacific Resources in the Rocky Mountains, New Mexico, California, Canada, Texas and Louisiana.
- At UPR, responsible for initiating their horizontal Austin Chalk drilling program, drilling their first horizontal wells in Louisiana, designing equipment for high-pressure mudcap drilling, drilling UPR's first HED lateral, and supervising Nitrogen Foam Coil Tubing Drilling in an H2S environment.
